· PhD in Statistics (1999) from the University of Washington/Seattle (USA), Master in Statistics (1991) from the Campinas State Univesity (UNICAMP/Brazil), and Bachelor of Science in Statistics (1985) and Mathematics (1987) from the University of Brasília (UnB/Brazil).
· Research Stage in Statistics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2011, UFRJ/Brazil).
· Full time associate professor at the Department of Statistics, University of Brasília/UnB (Brazil), and member of the Graduate Program in Statistics (UnB/Brazil).
· Primary research areas in nonparametric statistics, item response theory, and survival analysis.
